Woodthorpe Tennis Club

Established in 1909 Tennis for All Ages

Tennis For All Ages

At Woodthorpe we have tennis for everyone throughout the week. If you're looking to improve or play some fun doubles then mixed social sessions are run Wednesday evenings, Saturday mornings and Saturday afternoons.

If you like competitive play then you've come to the right place; summer or winter, rain or shine, it is very likely that a Woodthorpe team will be playing somewhere in Notts.

Team Practice

If you want to represent the Club then you need to practice; the Club and team captains would love to see you at one or more of our Club sessions. They will arrange fours depending upon forthcoming match commitments and try and develop regular pairings. Quite simply, the more you practice, the luckier/better you get, and the more you, your team and Woodthorpe win.

If you have any queries regarding our teams then please speak to our Club captains, Laura Goodare and David Wright.

The Woodthorpe Week

We all join a tennis club to play tennis; The Woodthorpe Week is a timetable of what is on and when so you can pick which Club sessions to attend or get a free court for an informal hit. Obviously, this will vary with matches, coaching and tournaments and the time of the year, but hopefully this will give you the best chance of knowing that when you turn up a court will be ready and waiting.
